You may have found this site as you were searching for addiction recovery options for your alcoholic or addicted loved one—whether spouse, partner, child, parent, sibling or friend.
But what about you? While there are many resources for addicts and alcoholics, family members are often
confused about where to turn. For us, the problem is harder to define and
solutions seem impossible.
Typically,
living with an addict causes us to put ourselves and our needs
second. Because we are extremely compassionate about the suffering of the
addict, we wear ourselves out taking care of everyone and everything. We tiptoe around in fear and get lost in obsession about our addict's
behavior. Living with an addict can be like being strapped to a bomb that goes off at random times and this causes huge stresses to our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
If this sounds like you, here is what you need to know:
You can experience peace and joy
no matter what is going on with your addict.
It is my sincere passion to share
what I have learned about how living with an addict can be a very
powerful
launching pad for personal growth. My story is probably very similar to
yours and I have served many clients who have lived your pain. Like
me, they have learned how to thrive where they once struggled; to find
peace instead of fear; and to experience more joy than they thought was
possible -- all while loving an addict.
So can you.
Explore this site to see what items of comfort and awareness there may be here for you. I
have tried to include something for everyone. I know there are those

not yet ready to talk about it. That's okay. You can increase your understanding through these
